Short Term Missions
Our short-term mission opportunities are really “worship” opportunities. Typically, worship is defined by a worship service, but the Bible really defines worship as "that which we offer up on a daily basis through the giving of thanks and the deeds that we do in the service of others as demonstrations of our love for God with all our being and our love for our neighbors as ourselves".
Whether you want to volunteer individually, or as a group, for one day or for an extended period of time, there are always worship opportunities for you through this ministry to minister with widows.
Summer 2026
Summer Missions
Roofs, ramps, porches, and yards: this summer's mission teams at work on widows' homes, and around the table with the widows they served.
Construction Projects
The funds to pay for materials come from many sources: churches, individuals, mission groups that come to do a project with us, families of widows, and the widows themselves. We tell each widow who comes to us with a need that there is no charge for what we do. If they are in a position to help out with the cost of materials, it is a great help. But it is absolutely not a requirement. Furthermore, we never want a widow to borrow money in order to pay for materials.
Deuteronomy 24:17 says, "You shall not pervert the justice due an alien or an orphan, nor take a widow's garment in pledge." What this basically means is do not cause a widow to go into debt.
