“The Widows Walk”
“THE WIDOWS WALK”
Have you ever stopped to think what the walk of a widow is like? What about trying to imagine it as everything that is the opposite of the game of monopoly, only it is not a game, it is real life challenges occurring on a daily basis where you never pass go and collect $200, or have the chance to buy Boardwalk or Park Place, because you are just lucky if you can buy food and pay your utilities. The hardships that occur along the way of the “widow’s walk” are neither infrequent nor simple to take care of, yet, the widows keep walking long after many of us would quit.
In honor of the widows we are planning a “Walk” with them that is a “Walk” for them, on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Chattanooga Christian Schools Track, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. If you can help out in a volunteer capacity with this “Walk” please let us know as soon as possible. It is not too early to sign up to “Walk” either. Please help us promote this wherever you can, in churches, businesses, the work place, corporations, neighbors, friends family. We also need donations of prizes to be given away during the walk as well as corporate and business sponsorships.
