Under the Harvest Moon - Music Benefit

Celebrate Harvest and home with Chattanooga’s premier swing band at “Under the Harvest Moon” at the Camp House on October 2. The concert will launch Home Harvest St. Elmo, a home restoration project benefitting Widows Harvest, a Chattanooga faith-based non-profit organization meeting the needs of older, low income, urban and inner city widows.

Directed by Dan Dorrill and featuring the honeyed tones of soloist Michael A Smith, The Uptown Big Band plays the big band jazz classics and experiments with modern jazz. For more than 20 years, The Uptown band has entertained the Chattanooga regional area with 17 instrumentalists and 2 vocalists as well as performing with international jazz greats. “Under the Harvest Moon” will feature special guest, Esther Ellis.

The concert will launch Home Harvest St. Elmo. Through the generous donation of Wells Fargo, Widows Harvest is restoring a St. Elmo home available for purchase upon completion.

Over the course of the restoration, Widows Harvest invites the community to participate through volunteering, donating and following the progress of the innovative restoration of the St. Elmo home. Restoration will be featured here on our website.

All proceeds from Under the Harvest Moon will launch the restoration of this home. For more information click here.
