When: May 15-16, 2009
There will be a dinner and service Friday evening, May 15, beginning at 5:30 p.m. for all conference participants traveling to Chattanooga from out of town. Saturday’s conference will start registration at 9 a.m. and breakfast will be provided as well. The day will end between 3 and 3:30 p.m. This years conference speaker will be Chiquita Bass. Chiquita is a widow, herself, as well as the single mother of 2 beautiful teenage daughters. Chiquita is also care giver of her own widowed mother and a mentally challenged brother and sister. Many of you have already come to know Chiquita as the Special Projects Director for Widows Harvest and know of the wisdom and faith that God has given to her which is more than evident in the many ways that God continues to use her to bless and minister to others. chiquita-bass (click for audio/video message)
Where: St. Elmo Ave Baptist Church, 45oo St. Elmo Ave., 37409, which is located at the foot of Lookout Mountain.
Cost: Free. Our own widows who are part of the ongoing widow’s prayer ministry decided this year to raise the money themselves for the cost of the meals for both Friday night and Saturday Lunch. To date they have raised over $2000. How humbling.
